Applications in the prescribed format are invited from the Indian Citizens with the Grade Pay in the pay scale of 14000.00-49000.00 for 18 (eighteen) posts of Junior Assistant in the Office of the Commissioner of Tax, Assam. 6200.00 and other allowable allowances per month.

Salary: Rs. 14000.00-49000.00 with grade pay of Rs. 6200.00 

Educational qualification:
(i) Graduates in any subject from a recognized University / Institute.
(ii) Computer skills such as word processor, speed sheet, presentation graphics, database, internet, email etc. to handle data and text

Necessary criteria: Candidates should have valid registration in the Employment Exchange in Assam State. And there will be a PAN or Aadhar card or Voter ID card.

Age: As per rule 01/01/2016 more than 21 years and above 38 years and as per rule relaxation for reserved category candidates. The upper age limit has been relaxed -
(i) 5 years i.e. 43 years for SC / ST candidates
(ii) For OBC / MOBC candidates, 3 years i.e. according to the government, up to 41 years. Notification no. ABP. 6/2016/9 dated April 25, 2018, Dispur.
(iii) For Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Other Backward Classes or General Category candidates, for 10 years for disabled persons (PWDs). Notification No. ABP 144/95/121 dated 28 October 2015 Dispur.

Selection Process: The selection process will be done through a 100-digit OMR based written examination in General Knowledge, General English and General Mathematics. On the basis of performance in the written examination, candidates will be called for a 25-digit computer skill test in the proportion of MS-Word, Excel and Power Point 1: 3. The final selection will be based on merit from total 125 marks in the respective category. In the case of the tie of marks from 125 marks in total, the candidate seeking higher marks in the written examination will be given more space in the qualification. In case, the marks obtained in the written examination are also a tie, then the senior candidate will be given high positions in merit in age.

How to apply: Candidates will have to go to the website www.comtax.assam.gov.in, by typing in the application form on the computer and then print out the filled form of the filled form and submit the duly signed application form. With relevant documents, in the drop box kept in the office of Commissioner of Tax, Assam, Tax Bhawan, Dispur, Guwahati-781006 or in the office of Tax Commissioner, Assam, Tax Bhawan, Dispur, Guwahati-6. Non-receipt of application form due to post delay will not be considered and all such late applications will be rejected.

The application is to be presented in an envelope, on top of which "application for the post of Junior Assistant, 2019" should be super-cryboard.

Closing date for receipt of duly filled application form: August 2, 2019 till 4 PM.
